From the
initial interview, I now have a greater understanding of the different types of
financial obligations, pitfalls and advantages that can come from an
entrepreneurial venture. During my first
interview, Peggy referenced certain lessons that she had to learn the hard
way. The lessons that we have
experienced in this class have definitely given me more of an insight on how to
better manage the business aspect of the venture.
I revisited with Peggy for the following interview:
I felt fairly comfortable
during this interview, after all we have known each other for some time. My knowledge of the entrepreneurial spirit and
what it takes to manage a venture has definitely grown. The combination of the
two has created a well-rounded view for the future. Peggy made no remarks about how I may or may
not have progressed in my journey. Regardless,
I definitely feel as if I have grown and made progress. I was able to put other pieces of the puzzle
learned in the area of business
Dear Jim,
ReplyDeleteIt seems like you have offered a nice and honest assessment of the progress that you have made throughout this course. In the last paragraph reflection, it would have been more meaningful if you had provided a couple of examples of how you have grown. The interview was done quite nicely. Both of you seemed to be very comfortable talking about Peggy's business. Take a look at my 2nd interview at http://taleemreflections.blogspot.com/2016/04/very-short-interview-part-2.html. Thank you.

Jim,
ReplyDeleteI will start out by saying that I liked your closing question in the interview. It asks the question: What's Next? It is always interesting to find out if an entrepreneur is going to expand soon, or stay with what they have. My only piece of advice is to briefly mention at the beginning what Peggy does as an entrepreneur. During the interview, I understood that she owns a daycare business. It would have been best to know that beforehand. Otherwise, you did a fantastic job on this assignment. If you get a chance, please check out my short interview part 2 at http://innovationnation101.blogspot.com/2016/04/very-short-interview-part-2.html.
